Tom Petty’s Daughter Says Her Dad Is NOT Dead, Slams False News Reports

Update: Tom Petty’s manager has released a statement confirming his death, hours after various news reports prematurely stated the singer had died.

Tom Petty’s daughter Annakim Violette has reportedly called out Rolling Stone magazine and presumably any other media outlet who reported that her father had died. Through an Instagram account attributed to Violette, the singer’s daughter slammed reports that her father was dead, while seemingly acknowledging that his chances to survive are slim.

Earlier today Tom Petty was found unresponsive in his home in Santa Monica and was said to be in full cardiac arrest. Later, while at the hospital, TMZ reported that the decision was made to remove Petty from life support.

Later in the day, media reports surfaced from various major outlets that Petty had died, though his daughter is saying that those reports are not true.

Here is what Petty’s daughter had to say on her Instagram account:

“@rollingstone my dad is not dead yet but your f—ing magazine is ⚡️⚡️⚡️your slim😵has been pieces of tabloid dog sh*t. You put the worst artists on your covers do zero research.
