Fozzy vocalist (and WWE legend) Chris Jericho is currently riding a wave of success. He just finished up one of his best runs with World Wrestling Entertainment, and his band has the wind at their back with the release of their breakthrough single “Judas”.
Jericho says the band changed the way they write music for their upcoming album due later this year. (Which is also called Judas)
“We did something different this time. [Fozzy guitarist] Rich Ward and I wrote all the songs in the past but now Rich and our producer Johnny Andrews, who did “Lights Go Out” with us a couple years ago, basically wrote all the songs. I had a little bit of writing in two of the tunes but it was different for me. But it doesn’t matter who writes them, it’s just about how good they are. All that matters is the song.” Jericho said.
Speaking of the breakout success off their new single Judas, which reached #1 on the iTunes Rock charts: “We’re on the verge of something big here with Judas becoming so successful in such a short period of time and that’s thanks to the hard work, because of the commitment, because of the great team we have.”
