Slipknot / Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor is mulling over the possibility of performing during the Vans Warped Tour. Yes. I’m not kidding.
Earlier today, Carnifex vocalist Scott Lewis tweeted Corey Taylor inviting him to perform The Heretic Anthem with the band during the traveling music festival. To his amazement, Taylor actually responded and asked him when the band would be on the west coast.

The Slipknot frontman responded a few minutes later and asked when the tour would be hitting the west coast. It’s really looking like tour’s west coast shows are must see events, because you don’t know who could be showing up.
When are you on the west coast? https://t.co/ELxt1dXOaq

This year, the Vans Warped Tour has placed an emphasis on heavier bands like Carnifex, GWAR, and Municipal Waste… just to name a few. It’s no surprise that Corey would be considering hitting a show or two if his schedule permits.
My guess is that Corey will absolutely try to make at least one of these shows if his schedule allows him to. The dude will be touring relentlessly later this year in support of the new Stone Sour album, so we’ll have to see. We can only hope!
