KID ROCK Rumored To Be Running For U.S. Senate

Kid Rock could soon become a powerful elected official in the U.S. Senate if Michigan GOP officials have their way. Sources tell Roll Call that the Michigan Republican party wants Kid Rock to run against Democrat Debbie Stabenow for her seat in the Senate.

Beating an incumbent Senator is extremely difficult, but someone with Kid Rock’s status could certainly pull it off. He has been a vocal supporter of GOP candidates in the past. He performed at a rally for Mitt Romney in 2012, and last year he began selling pro-Trump merchandise on his official website.

Kid Rock would become the latest celebrity to try their hand at running for public office. It’s unclear how it would impact his music career, as it would certainly put a strain on touring while he is in office.

He also wouldn’t be making anywhere near as much as he would make as a performer. Kid Rock would earn $174,000 per year as a U.S. Senator.

The state voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election so his chances of winning certainly seem probable. Kid Rock’s reps have not responded to comment about a possible run for office.

No official decisions have yet to be made, but it certainly seems likely that Kid Rock could run for office in his home state of Michigan. He has spent years saying great things about Michigan and Detroit, and despite his outlandish image, he is regarded by those who know him as one of the most down to earth artists around. We’ll have to wait and see how this one plays out. It will certainly be interesting.
