13 Rushed To Hospital After THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Tour Bus Accident (Photos)

A police spokesperson in Poland has confirmed that 13 people were rushed to the hospital following a serious tour bus accident involving The Dillinger Escape Plan. The tour bus was transporting The Dillinger Escape Plan to a show in Krakow, Poland. The band’s tour bus collided with a truck.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating the circumstances of the accident. The vehicles were reportedly moving in the same direction according to LENTA. It appeared that at least two of the passengers had to be air lifted to a local hospital.

Thus far, the exact conditions of the band members are not clear. It has been confirmed that there were no fatalities involved in the accident. Sunday’s concert in Krakow has been cancelled as a result of the accident.

Metal Injection spoke to vocalist Ben Weinman about the incident and the extent of their injuries: “Everyone is alive, a few injuries, but it could be much worse. He explained that the bus was hit from the back, with the truck smashing through their gear before continuing to plow into the bus itself. The impact was serious and banged them up pretty good. The whole situation sounds horrific.”
